Iris Alvarez is a licensed optician with over 30 years of experience serving some of New York City's most discerning patients. Her career began in 1995 on Austin Street, Forest Hills, under the mentorship of a visionary optometrist who recognized her exceptional talent and encouraged her to pursue private practice.

For nearly a decade, Iris worked at an exclusive Park Avenue boutique practice that served zero walk-in patients — only referrals from NYC socialites and Fortune 500 executives. The practice was part of an elite collective of 12 independent optometrists who built insurance-free, white-glove practices across the city.

From 2004 to 2016, Iris joined a highly respected practice in Brooklyn Heights — a coveted position she earned after a months-long selection process. Over nearly 13 years, she personally served over 78,000 patients and became the cornerstone of that practice. To this day, her Brooklyn Heights patients make the trip to Forest Hills specifically to see her.
